Dog is God spelled backwards. I am a cat person and if I was
allowed a dog, I would adopt one from a shelter. Go to the SPCA in my local
village. Walked around and looked into the cages, and look deep into their
eyes, the windows of their souls and find a connection. Just like my cat, there
would be that little twinkling of a light in their big sweet eyes. It would be
the heart breaking for me. The one that has the smallest spark would be the one
that needed the most love and I would choose him. Take him or her out the cage
and let her smell my hand and if they trusted me, we would become pals for
life. I would go to the closest park and guide him or her, until I was
reassured and then watch with joy as Doddles runs free in the winds, enjoying
her or his freedom and the share the gift of unconditional love with each other.
