This book captured my attention from the very beginning and left me wanting more at the end. I immediately purchased the second book in this series. I like the way this author thinks. (review of free book)

Started this book on a whim, and was very happily surprised with the quality of the writing, story, and characters. It's interesting from the beginning and well worth getting. Will we buy the second book? Absolutely, it's already in the cart.

Brianna Hawthorne brings to Life an extraordinary Universe through her talented writing and rich imagination. Filled with the complimentary principles of Yin & Yang where their constant interaction influences the ultimate harmony of the Universe and everything within it. I liken it to the epic Star Wars series filled with strong characters, personal discovery, deep insights, magical beings, battle and a longing for Love. Highly recommend and a smooth read.

This is a great book. It was very difficult to have to put the book down for those everyday life events such as work and chores. This is a must read.

A voice interrupts her thoughts.
“Mother, Gorgotha Lagash requests an audience.” SeshHaud Draconae turns and gives voice to her vision:
Daughter of burning light,
daughter of fire,
Universe Child,
all must inspire.
Stars shall know of her,
their cold light will gleam,
Her coming foretold,
within the dark dream.
The weaver of worlds,
the singer of songs,
Must stop that which comes
and right all its wrongs.
The Family together
to face hunger great,
On her and the balance
rest life’s very fate.”

As the start of this blog, when I started to converse with this author, I felt a need to explore her writing and this was a poem in the free book as indicated above has captured this reader and I am enthralled by the beginning as my heart beats faster knowing that I once again as a reader may of found a diamond among the gems in the library.

Well off to read and update with a review. As a blogger I am honour to promote this author for The Midnight Madness Promotion of July 20th.

This is a courtesy review for in exchange to read an enthralling story. It is free, if this caught this reader's interest I will be exploring her other books too.

The free one, Between Darkness and Light opens with
Dragons, entering another world portal, orphan children, new kingdom, lessons in dimensions and time changes and conspiracy

This author has combined fantasy and science fiction to create a unique story. It begins in the main characters' highly magical homeworld, but they soon find themselves thrust into a new existence - one of science and extremely advanced technology, where the use of 'magic' is considered highly suspicious. It is also a realm of extremely dangerous intrigue.

The main characters, brother and sister, are on their own. Tagged as members of an unusual offshoot of the imperial family, no one claims to be their parents or even to know who their parents may be.

It is a dangerous world, and they - particularly the sister, Shi'ahn, proves skilled at getting into trouble. In an attempt to rescue a kidnapped relative, she first finds herself and others caught in a deadly trap, and upon escaping, they fall into a pitch black, stone dungeon. Her brother William tracks them down and returns her home in the most advanced ship in existence.

Then what does Shi'ahn do? She volunteers to return to Chaos - they realm she had been imprisoned in, to testify on the behalf of a woman who kidnapped yet another member of the Imperial family! And THAT is when the real trouble begins.
